DIGITAL I/O

Series Overview

Digital I/O modules are available in densities of 8, 16, and 32 points. A full range of input and output voltages from 12VDC to 240VAC, and output currents up to 2A per channel are supported. A simulator module is available for use in development and commissioning of new Compact I/O systems.

2500 Series - Classic, CTI

2580 16-Point Isolated

The 2580 16-point discrete input module accepts sixteen discrete isolated inputs to the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base.

2581 16-Point Isolated

The 2581 16-point discrete input module accepts sixteen discrete isolated inputs to the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base.

2582 16-Point Isolated

The 2582 16-point discrete input module accepts sixteen 125 VDC discrete isolated inputs to the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base.

2585 16-Point TTL/Word

The 2585 16-point isolated TTL input module accepts sixteen TTL inputs to the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base.

2588-8 8-Point Universal

IMPORTANT NOTE:  THE 2588-8 HAS BEEN MATURED.  IT IS DIRECTLY REPLACED BY THE 2589-B 8/16/32-POINT UNIVERSAL INPUT MODULE The 2588-8 is designed to accept both AC and DC voltage inputs and is compatible with the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base.

2589-A 8/16/32-Point Universal

The 2589-A is designed to accept both AC and DC voltage inputs and is compatible with the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The 2589-A can be configured to login as 8, 16 or 32-points. In 240VAC applications, up to 16 points can be used.

2589-B 8/16/32-Point Universal

The 2589-B is designed to accept both AC and DC voltage inputs and is compatible with the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The 2589-B can be configured to login as 8, 16 or 32-points. The 2589-B allows operation of all 32pt at 240VAC, compared to only 16pt which were available on 2589-A.

2590-A 16-Point Isolated

The 2590-A 16-point discrete output module provides sixteen isolated outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The 2590-A is designed to switch externally supplied 20 to 132 VAC.

2590-EF 16-Point Isolated

The 2590-EF 16-point discrete output module provides sixteen isolated outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base with front panel accessible fuses. IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS PRODUCT WAS MATURED ON DECEMBER 31, 2019 AND SHOULD NOT BE USED IN NEW DESIGNS.  THIS PRODUCT IS REPLACED BY 2590-A, WHICH USES INTERNAL FUSES.

2591-A 16-Point Isolated

The 2591-A 16-point discrete output module provides sixteen isolated outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The 2591-A is designed to switch externally supplied 11 to 146 VDC.

2591-EF 16-Point Isolated

The 2591-EF 16-point discrete output module provides sixteen isolated outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base with front panel accessible fuses. IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS PRODUCT WAS MATURED ON DECEMBER 31, 2019 AND SHOULD NOT BE USED IN NEW DESIGNS.  THIS PRODUCT IS REPLACED BY 2591-A, WHICH USES INTERNAL FUSES.

2595 16-Point TTL/Word

The 2595 16-point TTL output module provides sixteen TTL driven outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base.

2596 8/16-Point DC

The 2596 provides 8 or16 11-125 VDC outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The solid-state outputs can be used to switch on or off external devices such as pilot lamps, motor starters, or solenoids.

2596-8 8-Point DC

IMPORTANT NOTE: THE 2596-8 HAS BEEN MATURED. IT IS DIRECTLY REPLACED BY THE 2596 8/16-POINT 11-125VDC OUTPUT MODULE. The 2596-8 provides 8 11-125 VDC outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The solid-state outputs can be used to switch on or off external devices such as pilot lamps, motor starters, or solenoids.

2597 8/16/32-Point DC

The 2597 provides 8,16,or 32 11-125 VDC outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The solid-state outputs can be used to switch on or off external devices such as pilot lamps, motor starters, or solenoids.

2598 8/16-Point AC

The 2598 provides 8 or 16 11-240 VAC outputs from the CTI 2500 Series® or Simatic® 505 I/O base. The solid-state output circuits can be used to switch on or off external devices such as pilot lamps, motor starters, or solenoids.

Motor centers, optical sensors, limit switches and utility control are excellent examples of applications for this product.

2500C-16-DIDO-SIM Sixteen Digital

The 2500C-16-DIDO-SIM Module allows the user to simulate discrete inputs and outputs. Switches are used to simulate discrete inputs and the LEDs on the front of the module indicates the status of the assigned outputs. This module is an excellent debugging tool for any application development.
